Autumn news

After a lovely summer here in Vienna, with perfect grilling weather throughout, we now find ourselves with Autumn upon us, with the days getting shorter, and the weather getting cooler. However, with our grills (hopefully) all cleaned, polished, and ready for next years fun & games, this doesn’t mean the end to sausages and great produce.

Over the next coming months and before the run up to the Christmas season the majority of my produce will have an Autumn theme to it, and I will be using as much seasonal produce as possible. From a sweet & nutty Pork, Apple & Walnut, to a spicy Firecracker Beef & Chili, and from Pork, Pumpkin & Thyme, to Beef, Garlic & Herb, all of these are wonderful fresh from the oven, frying pan, or however you choose to cook your sausages – but even better they are all lovely in a Slow-Cooker and I look forward to being able to share some amazing recipes in the bi-monthly Newsletter – you can sign up here to receive it (scroll down to bottom of linked page).

Back From Summer Break

Happy and raring to go this morning as the butchery is finally open again and this means that I am able to produce. Even though the majority of my time off was spent here in Vienna, it was great to set aside some time to catch up with admin and some behind-the-scenes work. I missed you all at Karmelitermarkt however and I am looking forward to being back there this Saturday (29th July), and I will be preparing the following:

Traditional Breakfast (Cumberland)
Pork Honey & Mustard
Thai Style Sai Ua
Beef Tomato & Herb

Pre-orders can be made online, email (info@britwurst.com) or +43 6769 600 139.

Whilst I was on my break Falstaff Magazine published a lovely article on myself and my Thai Style Sai Ua sausages. It is a great honour and privilege to be featured in such a high regarded magazine and I am extremely happy with the outcome.

Summer Break

Please note that Fleischerei Hödl will be taking their annual 2 week holiday (Betriebsurlaub) in July, with the last day of trade being Friday 7th, and then re-opening again on Monday 24th. This means that my last Karmelitermarkt will be 8th July, and then I will be back again on 29th July.

To make up for this I will give you the chance over the next couple of weekends to stock up on all your favourite produce!
